I was given my first camera when I was nine. At the time I was living in Liberia, and film was expensive and hard to come by. I felt the pull immediately, though. I bought my first SLR when I was 13, and spent a wonderful year shooting and working in a darkroom at my middle school. Again, though, after school let out, film and developing costs were prohibitive. The emergence of great digital cameras has reawakened my love of the art form, and I share here some of my favorite shots.
Inspiration
I find inspiration in texture, shape, pattern, light… pretty much everywhere. I also find it in the work of other photographers. Here are a few sites I return to often.
